Anima Hereticae formed in Tampere in 2020 and played melodic death metal with blackened death metal and related extreme metal influences. The band worked as an independent act and featured musicians with ties to Red Moon Architect, Aeonian Sorrow, Lost In Grey, and Frosttide. Its recorded output included the 2021 single "Ov Behest" and the 2023 album "Descended From The Mountains."
