Been following Hallava since their early days and Pohjan Poikia is hands down their best work yet. These guys capture the essence of Finnish rock - dark, moody, but with this incredible raw power that just grabs you.
The album title translates to 'Sons of the North' and you can feel that Nordic spirit in every track. It's not trying to be something it's not - just honest, hard-hitting rock music with Finnish lyrics that actually mean something.
If you're into authentic Finnish rock and haven't discovered Hallava yet, do yourself a favor. This is what real underground music sounds like. Tampere's music scene is alive and well.
